❄ What makes Zoe unique: Zoe is the ultimate good girl!

Zoe came to us from a government shelter, where she was likely abandoned after her time as a hunting dog came to an end. Life in the crowded kennels was overwhelming for a soul as sensitive as hers; Zoe struggled to compete for food and soon fell dangerously ill. When we rescued her, she was skeletal and battling Distemper, a life-threatening virus. We weren't sure if her weakened body could pull through, but Zoe is a fighter. With dedicated care and treatment, she made a miraculous, full recovery.

Zoe is an incredibly sweet, well-behaved dog with a gentle spirit. She is the definition of "easygoing." While she is often calm and observant, she has a wonderfully cheerful, playful side that emerges once she feels safe.

The key to Zoe’s heart is patience. She has a deep desire to trust, though she starts off a bit restrained and shy. She is an excellent communicator; you’ll see her wag her tail nervously yet hopefully as she approaches for cuddles. Despite her initial caution, she truly craves human contact and becomes incredibly affectionate once a bond is formed. There is nothing she loves more than resting her head on your lap for a long, quiet petting session.

Zoe makes friends easily when given the time to settle. She is social, loves attention, and is a loyal companion to those she knows. She is also very social with other dogs and can usually be found happily playing with her friends at the shelter. While she is generally friendly toward newcomers, she will occasionally find a more dominant dog intimidating and will use clear body language to signal she needs space. However, due to her background, Zoe does have a prey drive; while it isn't obsessive, she is not a match for a home with cats.

Outside the shelter, Zoe is an absolute dream. She walks beautifully on a lead, with only the occasional tug of excitement, and jumps into the car independently, settling down immediately for the ride. She even waits patiently in the car until she is invited out and navigates public spaces, like coffee shops, with ease and grace. She is still learning some "common decency," which mostly means she hasn't quite realised she shouldn't jump into your lap at every single moment!

Zoe is looking for a stable, active household with a relatively chaos-free lifestyle. She thrives in environments where she isn’t constantly overwhelmed by new people, allowing her sensitive nature to relax. Her ideal adopters should be very into cuddles—because there is no escaping Zoe’s affection—and should enjoy long walks and playtime. She deserves a home where she can finally enjoy the peaceful, quiet life she has been waiting for.

Zoe is currently in Turkey and is ready to travel to the EU/United Kingdom.

Our dogs arrive microchipped, up to date on rabies and combination vaccines, spayed/neutered, dewormed, and flea-treated, and tested for heartworm, Ehrlichia, Leishmania, and Anaplasma.

Before travelling, they see a vet for a final health check. If needed, their teeth are cleaned and X-rays are taken of any potential problem areas. Any concerns or potential health issues we are aware of will be communicated to you beforehand.
