Adoption in Germany, Switzerland and Austria

If you live in Germany, Switzerland or Austria and are interested in adopting one of our dogs, please fill out the form below.
After you have submitted the form, Sonja, our adoption coordinator for German-speaking countries, will contact you. Please note that our team consists of volunteers who also have busy lives outside of their work for Melez Dog Rescue. It may therefore take a few days before you hear from us.
You can apply for a specific dog or submit a general application in which you indicate what kind of dog you are looking for and we will show you some dogs that we think are a good match for you. We are happy to provide you with detailed information about all the dogs and answer any additional questions you may have by providing you with further photos and videos. All of our dogs can be tested with cats and children. However, please keep in mind that a quick test is always different from sharing a home with a cat or child with the dog.
If we all feel that one of our dogs could be a match for you, Sonja will set up an appointment for an extensive telephone conversation with one of our volunteers. During this phone call, our volunteer will discuss the adoption with you and assess whether your home and daily routine are suitable for the dog you are interested in.
If the phone call is successful, we can complete the adoption! We draw up an adoption contract that you sign and then all that is missing is the nominal adoption fee.
Our nominal adoption fee is €500. The dogs arrive in Germany or Austria microchipped, with up-to-date rabies and mixed vaccinations, neutered/spayed, dewormed and deflead, and tested for heartworm, ehrlichiosis, leishmaniasis and anaplasmosis. The dogs will have a final health check with the vet before they leave. If needed, their teeth will be cleaned and x-rays will be taken of any problem areas. Any concerns or potential health issues that we are aware of will be communicated to you in advance.
Please contact us for adoptions in Switzerland.
