❄ What makes Minou special: her black and white moustache!

Minou came into our care in the winter of 2025. She was found on the streets all by herself. Scared and confused, she was way too small to be able to fend for herself. An animal lover spotted her and realised she had no hope of surviving, so they asked us for help.

​

Minou is a sweet, endearing little dog with a gentle nature.

​

She's a bit cautious and tentative, and she still needs to build her confidence.

​

She walks well on a lead and loves to go out in quiet environments. As soon as she sees the lead in your hands, she enthusiastically follows you.

​

Although she does well in quiet environments, she finds crowds and traffic daunting. She doesn't walk as well in those situations and when she feels overhwelmed, she lies down flat on the ground, too scared to move. She can also be anxious in the car, and she tries to jump out as soon as the door opens. Her adopters will need to give her calm, patient guidance, to help her build her self-confidence.

Minou is a sociable dog who fits in well with the pack and enjoys playing with all the other dogs in her kennel.

She's very playful and is always eager to challenge one of her kennelmates to play with them. In that respect, she's very confident.

Besides playing with her kennelmates, she also enjoys sleeping with them.

She can be a bit nervous around some new dogs, and she prefers to be left alone. Until she realizes that everything's ok, and that this new playmate is a lot of fun!

​

Minou likes people and loves getting attention. But she can also be intimidated by fast, unexpected movements. When she feels threatened, her insecurity surfaces and she backs away and may try to hide. When she feels safe, she's very cheerful and greets you enthusiastically.

​

At the moment, Minou is more of a reserved dog, but we think that beneath her insecurity lies a more adventurous dog. A dog who desperately wants to be brave enough to dare and do more. With the right approach—calm surroundings, stability, and patient guidance—we think Minou will develop into a cheerful dog who loves to go out and explore the world. We also expect she can learn to be much more confident around people.

Minou is currently in Turkey, and is ready to travel to the EU/the UK

Our dogs arrive in their homes microchipped, up to date on their Rabies and Mixed vaccinations, spayed/neutered, dewormed and deflead and tested for Heartworm, Ehrlichia, Leishmania and Anaplasma. The dogs visit the vets for a final health check before they travel. If needed, their teeth are cleaned and X-Rays are taken of any potential areas of concern. Any concerns or potential health issues we are aware of will be communicated with you beforehand.
