The Board
Melez Dog Rescue is led by a dedicated team of animal welfare advocates committed to giving stray and abandoned dogs a second chance. Our board members bring a wealth of experience in rescue work, animal care, and nonprofit management, ensuring that our mission is carried out with compassion, integrity, and efficiency.
Each board member plays a crucial role in overseeing our shelter operations, coordinating adoptions, and developing initiatives to improve the lives of the dogs in our care. With a shared passion for animal welfare, we work tirelessly to provide the best possible future for every dog that comes through our rescue.

Esther
Treasurer
My name is Esther and I’m from The Netherlands.
I started visiting Turkiye since 2000 and from then every year I spended many holidays here. In 2010 I met a Dutch lady here and started to work for her construction company at the office and never left Kusadasi.
I’ve met with Lisanne in 2019 through social media and because she is living just 45 minutes away I started to visiting her shelter.
The love I have for animals started to grow more and more seeing all those souls on the streets here, and since a few years I have a petshop here. Ofcourse that leads to a big advantage for the founding. I'm grateful to help out with the purchasing of the food for low prices.
Now I also joined the founding by being the treasurer. It’s a pleasure to be helpful in many ways for those sweet street animals and for Lisanne.
