❄ What makes Lumi special: Her beautiful blue eyes
Lumi came into our care in early 2025.
Lumi is one of our government shelter rescues, saved from the Massacre Law. She was surrendered to the shelter by her previous owner after they could no longer take care of her. Not used to live in the chaotic shelter environment, Lumi was very stressed and started losing weight. As she became thinner and weaker, she also caught a bacterial infection. When we rescued her, she was all skin and bones and she was very ill. Who knows how much longer she would have been able to survive in there..
Thankfully, Lumi made a full recovery!
Despite everything she has been through, Lumi is a cheerful girl who is always happy and who never lets anything get her down!
We suspect Lumi is a Husky mix and she displays a few stereotypical Husky traits: she is very energetic and playful, she loves chasing cats, and she can become a bit hyper when she gets excited. Lumi is the opposite of a serious, quiet dog: she has lots of puppy energy and is very goofy. There is never a dull moment with Lumi around. She makes everyone who meets her laugh and fall in love with her!
Lumi is a very social dog and she gets along wonderfully with every dog she meets. She is a well-loved member of the Melez pack and is also very friendly when greeting new dogs. She has a group of best friends who she spends most of her time playing with, but she also tries to get all the other dogs to play with her!
Lumi adores people and is very affectionate. She loves being cuddled and lies down and shows her belly to everyone who gives her some attention. She isn't shy around new people and thinks everyone is her new best friend.
Outside the enclosure, Lumi is confident walking on lead and loves going out for walks. She is a high energy dog who will need lots of opportunity to run and play every day. She likes exploring new places and doesn't get nervous in busy, urban areas.
Lumi is a true gem and she so deserves to have a forever home!
Lumi is currently in Turkey and is ready to travel to the EU/the UK
The dogs arrive in their homes microchipped, up to date on their Rabies and Mixed vaccinations, spayed/neutered, dewormed and deflead and tested for Heartworm, Ehrlichia, Leishmania and Anaplasma. The dogs visit the vets for a final health check before they travel. If needed, their teeth are cleaned and X-Rays are taken of any potential areas of concern. Any concerns or potential health issues we are aware of will be communicated with you beforehand.
