❄ What makes Lana special: Her beautiful green eyes
Lana came into our care in the summer of 2024.
Beautiful Lana was born on the streets and grew up as a stray, navigating many dangers as she grew up on the streets. She and her pack were fed by a local animal lover, who tried to protect them as best she could. But a dog is never safe on the streets.. Local residents, unhappy with having dogs on their streets, poisoned Lana's whole pack and only she and one other dog managed to survive..
Desperate to get her to safety, the animal lover looking after her asked us for help.
Lana is a fun, playful girl, with lots of love to give. As a young dog, she will still need lots of guidance from her family to learn and grow into a confident dog, but we can guarantee that working with her will be lots of fun and will be very rewarding!
Lana is a sweet girl with a cheerful character. As she is young, she is pretty energetic and she is very playful. Lana loves playing and can turn anything into a toy! From twigs, to blankets, to an empty water bucket, Lana can be entertained for hours with any of her new finds! Lana also loves playing with water and may enjoy swimming. She is very athletic and loves jumping and climbing and we have even found her in a tree when we came into the enclosure one day!
When Lana first came to us, she was absolutely terrified, and she would cling to us for support and reassurance. Now she is more confident, but she still loves to run up to us to ask for cuddles! Lana can be a bit shy around strangers, but it doesn't take long for her to feel comfortable and happily ask new people for attention too.
Lana gets along well with the other dogs in her kennel and enjoys playing with them, but new dogs are intimidating to her and she is nervous when meeting new dogs. This is something she will need support and guidance with from her adopters.
Lana is learning to walk on a lead and is making great progress. She will now happily run around with a harness or collar and loves exploring and following new scents, but she will still need more time and guidance to be able to be fully confident in new places and situations.
All Lana needs is a stable, loving home where she can build up her self-confidence and learn not to be nervous, so she can spend all her time doing the things she loves most: cuddling, playing and getting up to mischief!
Lana is currently in Turkey and is ready to travel to the EU/the UK
The dogs arrive in their homes microchipped, up to date on their Rabies and Mixed vaccinations, spayed/neutered, dewormed and deflead and tested for Heartworm, Ehrlichia, Leishmania and Anaplasma. The dogs visit the vets for a final health check before they travel. If needed, their teeth are cleaned and X-Rays are taken of any potential areas of concern. Any concerns or potential health issues we are aware of will be communicated with you beforehand.
