❄ What makes Jazz unique: Jazz is a miniature Setter, with all the loving, playful energy of a fully grown Setter packed into a little 9 kg body!

Jazz came into our care in the summer of 2026, after being rescued from a local government shelter. She is an abandoned hunting dog, who most likely was a loyal, hard-working companion to her owner her whole life, only to be abandoned when they no longer needed her. She still had her old collar on, and the collar was frayed, ragged and very uncomfortable. It looks like she was kept on a chain with this collar. She will have lived on the chain 24/7, and her only moments of freedom will have been when it was time to hunt. This sweet, loving girl deserves a much better life than this, and now she is ready to find a home where she can life a happy, pampered life.

Jazz is a bundle of energy and enthusiasm with a gentle soul. She's wonderful company, endlessly fun, and unfailingly sweet, even when something makes her nervous.

She's a Setter in pocket size, and every bit a Setter in personality too: a finely tuned hunting instinct, a nose she loves to follow, boundless energy, and a very soft nature. She can be a touch anxious now and then.

​

If there's food available, Jazz will be first in line. Not a single kibble gets left in her bowl. We expect that her focus on food will make her easy to train.
 

Jazz thinks people are the best thing in the world and would happily spend all day being cuddled. She also has those long, silky ears that are genuinely impossible to keep your hands off.

​

Once she's outdoors, though, you'll find yourself rather lower down the list of priorities. There's sniffing to be done. She isn't fearful, and traffic doesn't faze her. Once she's back in familiar surroundings, she's all about her people again.

​

Jazz is very social with new faces and does well with children. She's gentle and submissive with people. At the vet, for example, she stands quietly and lets them do whatever they need to, wearing the saddest little expression, without making a sound.

​

She has a fantastic way with other dogs. She gets on with every single one she meets and loves nothing more than a good play session. So there's no problem at all if her adopters already have a dog, or several.

​

What Jazz still needs to learn is everything about rules and boundaries. She's enthusiastic about absolutely everything and hasn't yet discovered that rules are a thing. So climbing on the table, helping herself to snacks from the counter or a raid on your handbag all seem perfectly reasonable to her. Nobody's told her otherwise yet.

​

Above all, Jazz needs an outlet for her energy. The most important thing for her is adopters who are active themselves, who'll take her out and about, who want to teach her things, and ideally who have somewhere she can really let loose. Give her that, and Jazz is an easy dog: willing, cheerful, and never any trouble. She's a sweetheart who'll be perfectly, blissfully happy flopping down in her own bed in her own home after a long and glorious walk.

Jazz is currently in Turkey and is available for adoption in the UK and the EU.

 

Our dogs arrive in their homes microchipped, up to date on their Rabies and Mixed vaccinations, spayed/neutered, dewormed and deflead and tested for Heartworm, Ehrlichia, Leishmania and Anaplasma. The dogs visit the vets for a final health check before they travel. If needed, their teeth are cleaned and X-Rays are taken of any potential areas of concern. Any concerns or potential health issues we are aware of will be communicated with you beforehand.
