❄ What makes Ivar special: Ivar's hind legs are deformed, due to a birth defect. He doesn't let this get in the way of him spending all his time playing with other dogs though!

Ivar and his sister Angie were found in an abandoned building by an animal lover when they were tiny puppies of only 2-3 months old. Presumably, they had been abandoned because of their disabilities. Ivar's hind legs were severely deformed and flopped around behind him. He could barely walk. With lots of loving care, a high-quality diet, and supplements, he gained strength, and we saw a huge improvement in his legs.

Currently, Ivar's legs are still crooked and deformed, but he is strong enough to walk, run and play. When he gets nervous or excited, he throws his back legs up in the air!

Ivar is a sweet dog who is relatively easy-going. He doesn't require much to be happy, just some toys and a few doggy friends. He adores other dogs and spends all day playing with his friends. He is insecure around new dogs and may bark at them. Once he gets a calm sniff, he instantly accepts the new dog as a friend!

Ivar hasn't seen much of the world outside the shelter, and he can be a bit insecure. With a little encouragement, he walks well on the lead, but he can be a little hesitant at first.

Ivar will need a calm, patient home, ideally with another stable, social dog, to help build up his confidence and make sure he can live a happy, healthy life. Adopt Ivar and experience the immeasurable rewards of rescuing a sweet soul in need!

Ivar is currently in Turkey and is ready to travel to the UK or the EU.

The dogs arrive in their homes microchipped, up to date on their Rabies and Mixed vaccinations, spayed/neutered, dewormed and deflead and tested for Heartworm, Ehrlichia, Leishmania and Anaplasma. The dogs visit the vets for a final health check before they travel. If needed, their teeth are cleaned and X-Rays are taken of any potential areas of concern. Any concerns or potential health issues we are aware of will be communicated with you beforehand.
