❄ What makes Finka special: Finka has a very slight underbite, which you can only see when she is giving you lots of kisses!
We rescued Finka from the streets in the winter of 2025. We don't know anything about her past, but when we found her, she was wandering around lost and confused, as if she'd just been abandoned with nowhere to go. When stray dogs started barking at her, she panicked and tried to hide under a parked car. We rushed over to comfort her, and quickly realised she was showing signs of the Distemper virus. We got her to the vet right away and happily, she made a full recovery!
Finka is gentle, affectionate, and bursting with enthusiasm for life. She adores people, and it shows the second you walk into the shelter. Sit down on the floor for even a moment, and she'll seize her chance to climb straight into your lap for a cuddle. She greets everyone with joy and asks for attention the best way she knows how: with kisses. Lots of them. Start your day with Finka, and it's guaranteed to start well!
Life on the street left Finka terrified of other dogs, but she's come a long way since then. At the shelter, she's learned that other dogs can actually be fun, and she'll even play with them now. She's warm and welcoming to newcomers at the shelter, though she can still be a little unsure of unfamiliar dogs out in the wider world.
Finka wears her heart on her sleeve. When something startles her, she'll lean on you for reassurance or roll over to show her belly. She just needs an adopter who understands that some things take time. Patience and gentle encouragement will help er confidence grow every day.
These days, Finka walks beautifully on the leash: nose to the ground, tail up high, completely in her element as she takes in the world around her. Busy streets and traffic don't faze her one bit, and she loves greeting everyone she passes. Even a curious cat won't ruffle her feathers!
Finka has opinions, and she's not afraid to share them! If another dog in the shelter does something she doesn't approve of, she'll give you a look that says it all: "really, does this have to happen right now?" We suspect there's a little diva in there just waiting for the right home to truly come out and shine.
Car rides? No problem. Finka sits like a perfect passenger, gazing out the window the whole way, taking it all in.
Finka is ready to leave shelter life behind and start her next chapter. We believe that with a little more confidence and a lot more love, she'll blossom into an even happier, more playful version of herself.

Finka is currently in Turkey and is ready to travel to the EU/the UK.
The dogs arrive in their homes microchipped, up to date on their Rabies and Mixed vaccinations, spayed/neutered, dewormed and deflead and tested for Heartworm, Ehrlichia, Leishmania and Anaplasma. The dogs visit the vets for a final health check before they travel. If needed, their teeth are cleaned and X-Rays are taken of any potential areas of concern. Any concerns or potential health issues we are aware of will be communicated with you beforehand.
