❄ What makes Emry special: when Emry gets excited, he is an impressively high jumper!

Emry came into our care in the spring of 2025. 

Emry had a home before, but was kept in terrible conditions. He was chained up with no proper shelter and with little access to fresh water and food.. Luckily, a local animal lover spotted him and saved him. As she had nowhere to keep him, she asked us for help and Emry got to move in to the Melez enclosure.

Although it is unlikely that Emry has ever received any human love or proper care in his life, he is such a sweet, happy boy! He adores people and loves nothing more than getting lots of cuddles.

Emry has a cheerful character and a playful, energetic nature. He is full of life! When he is happily sitting on your lap being cuddled, Emry can be very calm, but most of the time he is active and he is usually on the move within the enclosure. His favourite activities include playing with toys and unsuccessfully chasing any birds that land in the enclosure. Emry would love to join a family with an active lifestyle, where he gets to go on frequent walks. He walks well on the lead and enjoys being out and about outside the enclosure.

Emry adores people and nothing makes him happier than getting attention from someone. He loves everyone and is always so excited to meet new people. When he knows he is going to get some cuddles, he can't contain his excitement and claps his front paws and jumps high in the air!

​

Although Emry fits in well in the Melez pack and gets along with all his kennel mates, he can be insecure around other males. This can cause him to act defensively when he meets a new male dog, or when another male dog intimidates him by, for example, running at him too quickly. He gets along very well with female dogs and is very friendly when meeting new females. He will sniff them with his tail wagging frantically, and then invite them to play.

This sweet boy has never been shown how good life can be, and yet he has such a joyful character and enjoys every day of being safe and loved in the Melez enclosure. Just imagine how happy he will be once he has a proper home! With a home where he has plenty of opportunity to run and play, and a family who can help him with his insecurities, and most importantly, who can give him all the cuddles he so wants, he will be the happiest dog in the world!

Emry is currently in Turkey, and is ready for travel to the UK and the EU.

​

The dogs arrive in their homes microchipped, up to date on their Rabies and Mixed vaccinations, spayed/neutered, dewormed and deflead and tested for Heartworm, Ehrlichia, Leishmania and Anaplasma. The dogs visit the vets for a final health check before they travel. If needed, their teeth are cleaned and X-Rays are taken of any potential areas of concern. Any concerns or potential health issues we are aware of will be communicated with you beforehand.
