❄ What makes Dyson special: Dyson has the most beautiful, unique coat with black and white spots. He's gorgeous and he knows it! ​

Dyson is one of 2026 government shelter rescues. He was stuck in an overcrowded kennel, with at least 30 other dogs, all jumping over each other to try to get attention and food. He is a small, delicate little dog, and he was being picked on by stronger dogs in the group. We could tell that he was struggling, so we took him with us to the Melez enclosure.

Dyson is a true charmer and a little rascal all rolled into one. With those adorable puppy-dog eyes, he gets away with all sorts of mischief. And even though he's a bit naughty, he's also incredibly sweet!

 

Dyson is an enthusiastic little dog with lots of playful energy who loves staying active. You'll only rarely catch him lying down to rest at the shelter. The rest of the time, he's playing with his kennel mates or happily zooming around with a toy in his mouth. He absolutely loves toys and could play with them forever, but he's just as keen on playing with other dogs. 

 

New dogs, especially male dogs, make Dyson a bit nervous, and he can come across as tense during first meetings. Things tend to go smoothly with calm females who don't pay him much mind, but he needs a bit more time with male dogs, and he can become reactive if the other dog doesn't stay calm. Once he's comfortable with a particular dog, though, Dyson turns into an incredibly social guy. He lives in a busy kennel and is best buds with all his kennel mates, including the males.

He actually shares his kennel with Chance, who used to struggle getting along with other males before Dyson came along, but Dyson taught him how to play! Now the two of them love playing together and often relax side by side. So Dyson can absolutely live happily with other dogs in the home, though he'll still need some training and guidance to learn how to properly greet unfamiliar dogs while out on walks.

Dyson thinks people are fan-tas-tic. Everyone is fun and worth getting to know. He’ll go to great lengths for a bit of attention. Being silly, being cute, he knows exactly how to earn extra pets and attention. He'll have you wrapped around his paw in no time. 

 

If he's in the middle of playing with his kennel mates, you might only get a quick (but enthusiastic) hello from him. He'll always give you a cuddle, but then he's right back to playing. Out of the shelter, though, it's a different story: he loves getting all the extended attention and cuddles he can get. That's when you really see what a snuggler Dyson can be.

Dyson walks nicely on the leash and loves going on little exploring adventures, moving around and sniffing everything in sight. He's not a fearful dog, but he is still young and hasn't seen much of the world yet. Plenty of things in his new home will be brand new to him, so his adopters will need to help him ease into things gently so he doesn't get overwhelmed.

He's also still learning what he's allowed to touch and what he isn't! He's a teenager at heart and might enthusiastically run off with a glove, a leash, or whatever else catches his eye. He doesn't yet understand the difference between a dog toy and something that belongs to you. That's all part of his learning journey, and his adopter will need to invest some time and patience into teaching him.

Dyson is enthusiastic, sweet, and ready to fill a home with love and laughter. Never a dull moment with this guy around! That said, he will need patient guidance, especially when it comes to meeting other dogs. 

​

Dyson truly is a gem of a dog who will make a wonderful companion for his adopter. He's waiting eagerly for someone with the time, love and attention to give him. Someone who enjoys walking and is ready to help him settle gently into his exciting new life at home.

Dyson​​ is currently in Turkey and is ready to travel to the EU/the UK.

The dogs arrive in their homes microchipped, up to date on their Rabies and Mixed vaccinations, spayed/neutered, dewormed and deflead and tested for Heartworm, Ehrlichia, Leishmania and Anaplasma. The dogs visit the vets for a final health check before they travel. If needed, their teeth are cleaned and X-Rays are taken of any potential areas of concern. Any concerns or potential health issues we are aware of will be communicated with you beforehand.
