Story
We rescued Aycha from the government shelter in the summer of 2026.
Character
Aycha is an easy-going, social dog with a happy and cheerful personality. She is sweet, friendly and always seems to be in a good mood. She has a lovely, fun-loving character and is simply a joy to be around.
Aycha is always up for an adventure! As soon as you pick up the leash, she comes running over, excited to go out. She is easy to leash up and happily walks alongside you without any fear. Busy city streets or heavy traffic? No problem for Aycha! She takes it all in her stride and walks calmly by your side. And if you fancy stopping at a cosy little café, she is more than happy to join you. She settles in as if she has been going there for years!
Aycha is an adventurous girl who loves exploring the world around her. One thing to keep in mind, though: she is very good at climbing fences! To Aycha, a garden fence can be more of an invitation than a boundary. Fortunately, she doesn't tend to wander far, but her future adopters will need to make sure their garden is securely fenced to prevent her from going on little adventures of her own. Otherwise, they might find themselves chasing after her — and Aycha would probably think that's a great game! We believe that, with some training, Aycha could learn to walk off-leash.
She also enjoys playing with toys. Aycha is generally active and loves getting out and about, but she isn't an overly busy dog. She enjoys being on the move without needing to run around and play all day long.
Behaviour With People
Aycha is an incredibly sociable dog who is friendly towards just about everyone. Whether you're someone she knows or a complete stranger, a man or a woman, Aycha greets everyone with the same enthusiasm. She loves attention and enjoys being around people.
She gets along wonderfully with other dogs, too! Aycha is friends with all the dogs at the shelter, including those who are less sociable. That says a lot about her lovely character.
She enjoys playing with other dogs but doesn't constantly seek out interaction. She's also perfectly happy doing her own thing. Aycha knows how to stand up for herself when necessary, but as long as there's no need to, she is gentle and friendly towards her fellow dogs.
Ideal Home
For Aycha, we're looking for active people who enjoy going out and about with their dog and would love to include her in their daily activities. Whether it's a lovely walk, a trip into town or a visit to a cosy café, Aycha would be happy to join!
She could be a great first dog for someone new to dog ownership, but she'd also fit in very well with a family that already has one or more dogs.
A secure garden is important for this little adventurer, as she's quite the escape artist when it comes to climbing fences. With the right home, plenty of love and lots of lovely adventures together, Aycha will make a wonderful companion!
Every Melez Dog Comes Prepared
The dogs arrive in their homes microchipped, up to date on their Rabies and Mixed vaccinations, spayed/neutered, dewormed and deflead and tested for Heartworm, Ehrlichia, Leishmania and Anaplasma. The dogs visit the vets for a final health check before they travel. If needed, their teeth are cleaned and X-Rays are taken of any potential areas of concern. Any concerns or potential health issues we are aware of will be communicated with you beforehand.
