❄ What makes Buttercup special: Buttercup has a signature move to get anyone's attention – she closes her eyes first, then raises her head and puts her nose up in the air – which is utterly irresistible!

Buttercup was rescued by a local rescuer after she had been dumped on the streets in the middle of a pack of territorial street dogs. Terrified, she had run up to rescuer's house, begging to be saved. They took her in and tried to find a home for her, but no-one in Turkey wanted her, so they asked us for help.

Buttercup is a small, young dog who is very enthusiastic and cheerful. She is easily recognisable by her big ears and cute little white tail tip: she looks like she dipped it in a pot of paint!

Buttercup likes many things, but can also sometimes get scared. She could use some guidance to become a truly confident, carefree dog.

​

She loves people and is always eager to get attention and cuddles, but she doesn't need constant attention. She comes to say hello and then happily goes back to playing. She is very good at giving kisses!

​

Buttercup is incredibly playful and can run extensively around her kennel for hours. She loves to challenge her kennel mates for a game of tag so they can have a run around. 

​

She can be intimidated by unfamiliar dogs. When she meets a new dog, she seems uncomfortable and doesn't quite know how to react. Once she gets used to them, she is very sociable.

​

Sharing a toy is fun, but her generosity has limits – she doesn't like to share her food. She can sometimes turn into a diva (in an unserious and funny way), but she's quick to drop her act when she sees an opportunity to play with her friends.

​

If she'll hear you grab the leash, she'll get super excited and rush to the get outside. Outside the kennel, she is an incredibly easygoing, fun little dog. She walks well on leash, is very happy to be outdoors, and loves to walk and sniff around. She behaves well, looking closely at the human for guidance and direction.

Buttercup is used to quiet environments. We expect busy environments to be quite stressful for her. She will need to train to deal with stress to avoid her getting overstimulated.

​

When given the time to develop at her own pace, we believe she will be very capable of being a relaxed, cheerful, easy-going dog. It is important to note that she hasn't seen much of the outside world yet.

​

We are looking for an adopter for Buttercup who loves walking and enjoys playing with their pet. But also someone who is patient and open to train her to feel more confident around new dogs and situations.

 

Buttercup is the sweetest, most social dog and a wonderful addition to your family.

Buttercup is currently in Turkey and is ready to travel to the UK or the EU.

​

The dogs arrive in their homes microchipped, up to date on their Rabies and Mixed vaccinations, spayed/neutered, dewormed and deflead and tested for Heartworm, Ehrlichia, Leishmania and Anaplasma. The dogs visit the vets for a final health check before they travel. If needed, their teeth are cleaned and X-Rays are taken of any potential areas of concern. Any concerns or potential health issues we are aware of will be communicated with you beforehand.
