❄ What makes Thomson special: his asymmetric 'one up, one down' ears!

Thomson was living on the streets outside a cafe in a local town that is very unfriendly towards dogs. Poor Thomson loves people, so would excitedly run up to every passer-by and jump up on them to get cuddles. His sweet, happy enthusiasm caused so much outrage that the local residents became increasingly threatening towards him. When a few people started threatening to shoot him, a local animal lover reached out to me, desperate to save him before it was too late.

Thomson is very unhappy living in kennels and wants to leave and live in a home of his own so badly..

Thomson is an energetic, playful boy who is full of mischievous energy and loves going on adventures! There is never a dull moment with Thomson, and he would be a great fit for an active family who can give him lots of opportunity to run, play and explore. Thomson walks well on the lead, but can pull in his excitement to discover all the new smells. He also really enjoys playing with toys. He is a bit of an acrobat and is often found climbing on top of the dog houses. Thomson is an intelligent dog and we think that he would really enjoy being trained and learning new things.

Thomson is very good with people and loves getting cuddles. He needs to learn that he isn't allowed to happily jump up against everyone he meets just to get attention.

When Thomson first arrived in the shelter, he was a social star and got along with even the most difficult, confrontational dogs. He won them all over with his playful character. However, he has found life in the shelter stressful and this stress has made him nervous around some other male dogs. His best friend in the shelter is Mico, another male, but some male dogs make Thomson feel intimidated and he is reactive towards them.

Thomson needs a confident, experienced adopter who can help him settle into his new home and de-stress after life in the shelter. With lots of love and some guidance, we know the old, carefree Thomson will come back out again and he can finally start enjoying life!

The dogs arrive in their homes microchipped, up to date on their Rabies and Mixed vaccinations, spayed/neutered, dewormed and deflead and tested for Heartworm, Ehrlichia, Leishmania and Anaplasma. The dogs visit the vets for a final health check before they travel. If needed, their teeth are cleaned and X-Rays are taken of any potential areas of concern. Any concerns or potential health issues we are aware of will be communicated with you beforehand.
