❄ What makes Punk special: her white scruffy nose

Punk came into our care in August 2023. We don't know anything about her past, but she had ended up in the government shelter. Like 99% of young dogs that enter a government shelter in Turkey, she caught Distemper and suddenly she was having to fight for his life.. Thankfully, we managed to get her out in time, and with proper treatment she made a full recovery!

Punk is a sweet little girl with a big character! Although she can initially be shy, Punk is no wall flower, and once she feels comfortable, her fun personality starts to come out!

As she has grown up in the shelter, much of the 'outside world' is new to Punk. When she is out of the enclosure, she is a little hesitant and unsure, but her curiosity soon gets the better of her and she likes to go for walks to explore new smells and sights. With a little encouragement, she walks well on the lead with a harness on, but she is easily spooked by loud noises. She is very friendly with visitors that come to the shelter and enter her kennel, and comes up for cuddles straight away. Outside of the enclosure she is a little shy initially, but her curiosity and love of people quickly help her overcome her fear and she will cautiously, but excitedly approach people to ask for attention. Once she has had a calm introduction, she starts following her new friend around to ask for pets!

When Punk feels comfortable and safe, her real, sassy character starts to come out. Punk is a real goofball! She is a very playful and and outgoing dog, and she loves playing with toys and with other dogs. Punk is a social dog, and she is friendly when meeting new dogs. She can be pretty bossy towards the other dogs in her kennel though, and can be selective with which dogs she considers her 'close' friends, bossing other dogs away if they try to get involved when she is playing with her friends.

 

Punk adores people and is very affectionate. She loves being picked up and getting cuddles and would be very happy in a home where she can get lots of attention from her family. 

 

Punk would thrive in a calm household in a quiet area, with a family who can offer her stability, love and patient guidance as she builds up her self confidence, but who can also appreciate her goofy personality! She is sure to bring lots of light and joy to her new home.

Punk is currently in Turkey and is available for adoption in the EU/the UK

​

The dogs arrive in their homes microchipped, up to date on their Rabies and Mixed vaccinations, spayed/neutered, dewormed and deflead and tested for Heartworm, Ehrlichia, Leishmania and Anaplasma. The dogs visit the vets for a final health check before they travel. If needed, their teeth are cleaned and X-Rays are taken of any potential areas of concern. Any concerns or potential health issues we are aware of will be communicated with you beforehand.
