❄ What makes Priya special: Although Priya is timid outside of the enclosure, she really looks towards people for reassurance and curls up next to you to feel safe.
Priya was found as a tiny puppy of only 3 months old stuck in the middle of the motorway with cars racing by. She was just a baby and she was all by herself, and she had nowhere to go and no way to stay safe. Luckily she was rescued by a local rescuer, who took her in. For one whole year, the rescuer tried to find a home for Priya, but because of her 'plain' looks, no-one wanted her.. Priya is a sweet soul who is gentle and so affectionate, but despite this, no-one was interested in her.. Desperate for her to have a better life, the rescuer asked me for help.
When Priya feels safe, she is a very sweet, easy-going girl. She gets along well with the other dogs in the enclosure, but also likes having alone time. She usually hangs in the back whilst the more energetic dogs are playing, but will occassionally join in. She loves people and will quietly come ask for attention.
Priya becomes very timid when she is out of her comfort zone and is scared of walking on the leash. She will try to crawl up to you and hide behind you to feel safe. Priya needs a calm, stable home with patient adopters who are willing to work with her to build up her confidence, but who can also give her the space and time she needs to settle in until she feels safe. In return, her family will be getting one of the most soft-natured, gentlest, most grateful and loving dogs!
The dogs arrive in their homes microchipped, up to date on their Rabies and Mixed vaccinations, spayed/neutered, dewormed and deflead and tested for Heartworm, Ehrlichia, Leishmania and Anaplasma. The dogs visit the vets for a final health check before they travel. If needed, their teeth are cleaned and X-Rays are taken of any potential areas of concern. Any concerns or potential health issues we are aware of will be communicated with you beforehand.
