Kofte: the dog who wants to leave the shelter so badly
Our one-eyed big boy Kofte arrived with us 2 years ago. He had been rescued from the government shelter as a tiny puppy of only 2-3 months old. When he was found in the shelter, his body was shutting down from malnutrition, but he made a miraculous recovery and grew into a healthy, strong giant! We don't know what happened to his right eye, but Kofte doesn't let being one-eyed get in the way of being a happy, excited boy!
Kofte is a strong, energetic, playful dog, who would love to spend most of his days exploring, playing and cuddling. For the past two years, his size and strength have prevented him from finding a home, but he wants one so badly! He goes crazy with excitement whenever guests visit the shelter, or when he is let out for a walk. After two years of waiting, we really hope it will be his turn to leave the shelter and find his forever home soon..
Kofte is approx 4 years old and is a large, strong male, who will need a strong handler. He loves people and happily greets strangers. He loves playing with other dogs, but a lot of other dogs find him intimidating because of his size and high energy.
Kofte is such a good boy, and it is heartbreaking to see that his high energy and his strength are preventing him from living the life he deserves..
Could you be the one to transform Kofte's life?
The dogs arrive in their homes microchipped, up to date on their Rabies and Mixed vaccinations, spayed/neutered, dewormed and deflead and tested for Heartworm, Ehrlichia, Leishmania and Anaplasma. The dogs visit the vets for a final health check before they travel. If needed, their teeth are cleaned and X-Rays are taken of any potential areas of concern. Any concerns or potential health issues we are aware of will be communicated with you beforehand.
