❄ What makes Humphrey special: His white moustache and eyebrows!

Humphrey came to us from the government shelter in Nigde, a city in central Turkey, which is a very difficult place to live for dogs. The people in this part of Turkey are known to have little sympathy for dogs, and to see strays as pests. Street dogs are shunned and are treated unkindly. To make things even worse for the poor dogs, Nigde experiences extremely cold winters, with freezing temperatures and lots of snow all through the winter. The poor strays there don't stand a chance.. Apparently Humphrey ended up in the shelter twice. He was initially surrendered by his first family, then adopted by a new family, but the new family also gave up on him and returned him to the shelter. We don't understand why, because Humphrey is the perfect little gentleman!

Humphrey is a wonderful dog with a stable, easy-going temperament. He is a happy dog who adapts well to new situations and fits in pretty much everywhere. He walks well on the lead and is comfortable in the car. He is a confident dog who loves going for walks and would be very happy to be able to accompany his adopter whilst out and about.

Humphrey is a very social dog who gets along with other dogs of all ages, sexes and sizes, although he does sometimes feel the need to defend his bed. He would be happy as an only dog in the home, or with other, social dogs. Humphrey adores people and loves getting cuddles. He enjoys being picked up and sitting on your lap. He is very friendly with strangers and greets everyone with a wagging tail. He is very friendly towards cats and isn't reactive towards other animals such as rabbits and birds.

This sweet boy didn't deserve to be abandoned, and he we really hope he can find his forever home, so he can leave the shelter and live in safety and comfort for the rest of his life. Humphrey would be a wonderful addition to pretty much any home, and whoever adopts him will be very lucky to have him!

Humphrey is currently in Turkey and is available for adoption in the EU/the UK

The dogs arrive in their homes microchipped, up to date on their Rabies and Mixed vaccinations, spayed/neutered, dewormed and deflead and tested for Heartworm, Ehrlichia, Leishmania and Anaplasma. The dogs visit the vets for a final health check before they travel. If needed, their teeth are cleaned and X-Rays are taken of any potential areas of concern. Any concerns or potential health issues we are aware of will be communicated with you beforehand.
