❄ What makes Flynn special: due to having had Distemper as a puppy, Flynn has a slight tic in one of his back legs

Flynn is a sweet, friendly dog who would be so happy to have a proper home! Flynn struggles a bit in the shelter, and often fades into the background in the chaotic shelter environment, but when he gets out of his kennel and gets to go for a walk, he instantly transforms into a happy, energetic little dog!

Flynn has been in the Melez shelter since September 2023. He was rescued from the government shelter by a local rescuer. We don't know what happened to him there, but he had a huge wound on his back, which would definitely have become infected if he hadn't been rescued. His rescuer lovingly nursed him back to health until the wound was completely gone. Flynn must have had Distemper as a puppy, as he has a slight tic in one of his hind legs, but he is now finally completely healthy.

Once Flynn had recovered, his rescuer tried to find a home for him in Turkey, but after months of trying, she still hadn't been able to find anyone interested in him. Wanting a better life for him, she asked us to take him in.

Flynn is a lovely little dog with lots of love to give. He is friendly towards strangers, and very affectionate and loyal with people he knows. He is friendly towards other dogs, but finds interacting with some of the more dominant male dogs in the shelter stressful.

Flynn is very playful and is always up for a new adventure. He loves to run, play, and explore new places. He would be happiest in a home where he gets plenty of opportunity to go for walks and visit dog parks.

At approximately 14 kg, Flynn is a perfect small-medium size : he is light enough to be picked up, and  can easily be taken along whilst you're out and about. He is generally easy-going and confident, and walks well on the lead. Flynn has never lived in a home before, and will need to learn everything about life as an indoor dog, but with some loving guidance, we expect he will pick things up very quickly.

Flynn is a lovely dog who deserves better than life in the background in a busy shelter. By opening your home to Flynn, you will truly be transforming his life!

 

Flynn is currently in Turkey and is ready to travel to the UK or the EU.

Our dogs arrive in their homes microchipped, up to date on their Rabies and Mixed vaccinations, spayed/neutered, dewormed and deflead and tested for Heartworm, Ehrlichia, Leishmania and Anaplasma. The dogs visit the vets for a final health check before they travel. If needed, their teeth are cleaned and X-Rays are taken of any potential areas of concern. Any concerns or potential health issues we are aware of will be communicated with you beforehand.
