❄ What makes Flavia special: Her beautiful eyes!

Flavia arrived in the Melez Dog Rescue shelter in the winter of 2023. 

We don't know anything about Flavia's past, but somehow she ended up on the streets all by herself. Flavia is a small dog and she was surrounded by packs of large straat dogs. She sought refuge in the gardens of some local student dormitories, where the students looked after her. But the dormitories' management are against having dogs on the grounds and threatened to send her to the government shelter. Little Flavia wasn't bothering anyone, but still she was unwanted..

Not wanting her to have to go to the government shelter, the people feeding her asked us for help, and little Flavia moved into our puppy pad.

Flavia is a sweet little girl who gets along with everyone! She is very soft-natured and is one of the more quiet dogs in the puppy pad. She has a happy character and is well-behaved.

Flavia is a very friendly dog, who loves people. She is always happy to greet anyone who comes into her kennel, whether it be people she knows, or strangers. She will come straight up to say hi, with her tail wagging. Flavia also gets along very well with other dogs and is a great older sister to the younger puppies in the puppy pad.

When she first arrived in the puppy pad, Flavia felt very overwhelmed and was pretty shy. It took her a while to settle in and gain some confidence, but now she is a very happy, easy-going dog. She walks well on the lead and likes going out for walks. She enjoys playing with the other dogs in the puppy pad, but isn't as active as the other dogs she shares her kennel with.

 

We are looking for a loving, stable home for Flavia, with adopters who can help her decompress after the stress of travel, and make sure that she doesn't lose her self-confidence when settling into her new home environment.

 

Flavia is a lovely, dog with lots of love to give. She will be so happy to have a forever family!

Flavia is currently in Turkey and is available for adoption in the EU/the UK

The dogs arrive in their homes microchipped, up to date on their Rabies and Mixed vaccinations, spayed/neutered, dewormed and deflead and tested for Heartworm, Ehrlichia, Leishmania and Anaplasma. The dogs visit the vets for a final health check before they travel. If needed, their teeth are cleaned and X-Rays are taken of any potential areas of concern. Any concerns or potential health issues we are aware of will be communicated with you beforehand.
