❄ What makes Diya special: Her famous wide-eyed innocent look! Diya also has bad hips, a lasting result from being hit by a car on the streets. Her hips currently don't cause her any discomfort.

Poor Diya was living on the streets amongst a large pack of stray dogs fed by a local animal lover. She was a bit of a loner, always quiet and hanging in the back, scared to get too close to the dominant dogs. She tried to survive and stay safe by blending into the background, but this couldn't keep her safe from the traffic and one day she got hit by a car and broke her hips. She was found after the accident, lying on the ground crying, unable to stand up. The animal lover took her in and nursed her back to health until she was able to stand up and walk again. They tried to find a home for her in Turkey, but no-one wanted her. After all Diya had been through, they didn't want her to have to go back to the streets, so they asked me for help.

Diya is a calm, sweet, soft-natured girl. She is quiet and unassuming, but also very affectionate. She manages to steal everyone's heart with her doe-eyed beauty! Diya loves people and will quietly come ask for attention. She is very easy-going, and is calm and not very energetic. She walks well on the leash.

Diya gets along well with other dogs, and likes playing with them, but doesn't like sharing her living space, so would be happiest as the only dog in the home. The shelter is too crowded for her, and she usually hangs in the back by herself, patiently waiting for her turn to get cuddles.

Diya has so much love to give, and will be the most loyal dog and best cuddle buddy to whoever is lucky enough to adopt her!

The dogs arrive in their homes microchipped, up to date on their Rabies and Mixed vaccinations, spayed/neutered, dewormed and deflead and tested for Heartworm, Ehrlichia, Leishmania and Anaplasma. The dogs visit the vets for a final health check before they travel. If needed, their teeth are cleaned and X-Rays are taken of any potential areas of concern. Any concerns or potential health issues we are aware of will be communicated with you beforehand.
