❄ What makes Yakup special: his unique markings

Yakup came into our care in the beginning of 2025.
Poor Yakup is a loving boy who has had to deal with constant rejection and abuse from people purely for existing. He was living on the streets, just trying to survive, no threat to anyone.. He was living outside of a local student dormitory, lovingly being taken care of by students. But the dormitory management and workers didn't want him around, so they kept on throwing water at him to try to chase him away. Loyal to the place he considered home, where he was loved by the students, Yakup refused to leave. Frustrated, the dormitory management called the government shelter to pick him up and take him away. Knowing what fate awaited him in the government shelter, the students called us and begged for help. We rushed over to take him to safety before the government shelter van arrived.

Although he is now safe, Yakup is very unhappy in the Melez enclosure. He has no idea what he did wrong and why he was taken from his old living area... Poor Yakup spends almost all his time waiting by the door of the kennel, hoping to be let out.

Yakup is a gentle soul with an adventurous spirit. When he wants to get your attention, he will very politely put his paw on you to say hello. He loves people and is very affectionate. He loves getting cuddles and belly rubs! He enjoys meeting new people and isn't scared of men. As long as he can get some cuddles, Yakup is happy! He is very soft-natured when interacting with people.

But Yakup is no wallflower - he also has a more adventurous side, and as soon as he is taken out of the enclosure he happily charges ahead, ready to go out on a new adventure! Yakup walks well on the lead and is confident when out for walks. He loves smelling all the smells on the streets and prefers a calm pace so he can sniff all the trees and plants, rather than doing lots of running.

Yakup fits in well in the Melez pack, but there are a few male dogs that he doesn't like. He gets along well with all the other male dogs except for these few dogs. He shares his kennel with other dogs with no issues, but is clearly more human-focused and prefers interacting with people over interacting with other dogs.

Yakup is a sweet boy with so much love to give. He wants to leave the Melez enclosure so badly and really craves a home of his own, where he can happily live in peace in his own place, like he used to do when he lived on the streets.. But this time with a family who loves him!

Could you give Yakup the happy home he so deserves?

Yakup is currently in Turkey and is ready to travel to the EU / UK.

Our dogs arrive microchipped, up to date on rabies and combination vaccines, spayed/neutered, dewormed and flea-treated, and tested for heartworm, Ehrlichia, Leishmania, and Anaplasma. Before traveling, they see a vet for a final health check. If needed, their teeth are cleaned and X-rays are taken of any potential problem areas. Any concerns or potential health issues we’re aware of will be communicated with you beforehand.
