Meet Tourmaline, the lovable rescue dog ready to steal your heart and become the perfect addition to your family.

Tourmaline and her friend Ima came into our care in the Spring of 2023, after having had a safe home their whole lives. They lived in the garden of their owner's home, and weren't allowed inside, and they weren't spayed, so they continuously ended up with litters of puppies, but at least they were well fed and safe from the dangers of the streets. Although they weren't considered a full family member, they were still a lot luckier than most dogs in Turkey. However, their calm life came to an abrupt end when their owner moved to a different city and decided it was too much of a hassle to take the dogs with them. Without a single thought for how traumatising this would be for them, he called the government shelter and asked for them to be picked up and taken away. An animal lover heard about the situation and asked us for help. 

Unfortunately Tourmaline turned out to have Distemper, and as well being abandoned, she also suddenly had to fight for her life. After a long and hard battle, she pulled through, but she was left with tics in one of her hind legs.

Tourmaline is an absolute sweetheart. This sweet, easy-going girl is a calm and gentle dog who often fades into the background in the busy shelter, but who has so much love to give! Tourmaline is a loyal dog who walks perfectly on the lead and never strays far. Her quiet and unassuming nature makes her an ideal companion for those seeking a devoted furry friend.

Tourmaline gets along well with other dogs, but would prefer a calm home without the chaos of lots of other energetic dogs around her. She is a bit scared of cats, and tries to ignore them.

Tourmaline loves people and is happiest when she gets to sit on your lap getting cuddles!

Tourmaline is currently in Turkey and is available for adoption in the UK and the EU.

 

Our dogs arrive in their homes microchipped, up to date on their Rabies and Mixed vaccinations, spayed/neutered, dewormed and deflead and tested for Heartworm, Ehrlichia, Leishmania and Anaplasma. The dogs visit the vets for a final health check before they travel. If needed, their teeth are cleaned and X-Rays are taken of any potential areas of concern. Any concerns or potential health issues we are aware of will be communicated with you beforehand.
