❄ What makes Thalia special: her scruffy snout!

Thalia was found on the streets in a terrible state by a local animal lover. She was covered in ticks, her fur is all dirty and matted, and she has bite wounds on her front leg. Without proper care and treatment, the wounds have started to become infected and are causing her so much pain that she can't use her leg. Locals told us that she has been living on the streets for months, and even gave birth to a litter of puppies on the streets, but that the puppies all either died or grew up and wandered off. Thalia was left by herself, begging for scraps of food outside a local cafe to survive, with no way to protect herself from larger dogs. Knowing she wouldn't be able to survive like this, the lady who spotted her asked us to take her in.

Thalia is a lovely dog with a sweet character. She is very gentle and soft-natured, and definitely isn't cut out for a life on the streets! She is a delicate little girl, who hates the rain and the cold. She would be so happy to have a proper home for the first time in her life..

Thalia loves people. She is very cuddly and is a total lap dog! She is constantly trying to get us to pick her up and hold her in our arms. Once nestled on your lap or in your arms, she becomes calm and content and will happily doze off.. Thalia is very friendly towards strangers and happily greets everyone who visits the enclosure.

When it comes to other dogs, Thalia is an introvert. She clearly prefers the company of people over dogs, and is always trying to find a quiet corner for herself in the enclosure. She is friendly towards new dogs, gets along well with all the dogs in her kennel and she has a few friends who she spends lots of time with, but she doesn't actively seek interaction with her kennel mates.

Thalia is a calm dog, who occassionally has bursts of playfulness, but who is generally not very active. She walks well on the lead and enjoys going out for walks, but would be happy with a quiet, calm life.

This sweet girl would be so happy to have a comfortable home of her own and a family to love! Can you transform Thalia's life by adopting her?

Thalia is currently in Turkey and is available for adoption in the EU/the UK

The dogs arrive in their homes microchipped, up to date on their Rabies and Mixed vaccinations, spayed/neutered, dewormed and deflead and tested for Heartworm, Ehrlichia, Leishmania and Anaplasma. The dogs visit the vets for a final health check before they travel. If needed, their teeth are cleaned and X-Rays are taken of any potential areas of concern. Any concerns or potential health issues we are aware of will be communicated with you beforehand.
