❄ What makes Sola special: the cute freckles on her nose!
Sola came into our care in late 2024. We found her in the local government shelter after the Massacre Law had been passed.
We don't know anything about Sola's past, or how she ended up there. We spotted her in the corner of one of the many overcrowded kennels, quietly trying to stay as far away from the other dogs as possible, trying to stay safe..
We saw the panic in her eyes and couldn't leave her behind, so she came with us to the Melez Dog Rescue enclosure!
When she first arrived poor Sola was very nervous and she was terrified of other dogs. Now that she has settled, in she is a lot happier, but she is still a nervous dog. But the one thing that always makes her feel better when she is feeling anxious, is being cuddled by people. When she is feeling stressed, she tries to get as close to you as she can and she really relies on humans for reassurance.
Sola is an anxious dog who lacks self-confidence. She walks on the lead and obediently follows you everywhere, but she gets nervous as soon as she is taken out of her comfort zone, and she is easily startled. When she feels stressed, she may cry and she clearly wants lots of guidance from people to help her feel safe.
Sola doesn't feel fully comfortable around other dogs. She is very friendly and doesn't mind meeting new dogs, but she is easily intimidated by them and becomes very anxious when it gets too crowded in her kennel. She keeps to herself in her kennel and prefers to interact with people over interacting with other dogs.
Throughout all her struggles the one thing that gives makes Sola feel safe is people. Sola's safe space is on your lap! She adores people and craves human interaction. She is an extremely loving dog who isn't scared of strangers and loves everyone.
When she feels comfortable, Sola's playful side starts to come out. Sola absolutely loves toys and tries to collect as many as possible. Any toys introduced in her kennel are quickly picked up by Sola, who immediately takes them to her own little corner where she hides her stash! She can spend hours playing with her toys.
Sola is such a sweet-natured dog, and she so deserves to be able to have a care-free life. In a calm and stable home, with patient, loving adopters we know she will finally be able to feel happy and at ease.
Sola is currently in Turkey and is ready to travel to the UK or the EU.
The dogs arrive in their homes microchipped, up to date on their Rabies and Mixed vaccinations, spayed/neutered, dewormed and deflead and tested for Heartworm, Ehrlichia, Leishmania and Anaplasma. The dogs visit the vets for a final health check before they travel. If needed, their teeth are cleaned and X-Rays are taken of any potential areas of concern. Any concerns or potential health issues we are aware of will be communicated with you beforehand.
