❄ What makes Nani special: Nani has very slight deformation in one of her back paws, the result of being run over when she was living on the streets. This doesn't bother her at all, and she can live a normal, active life.
Nani was our first rescue of 2024. She was waiting for Lisanne by the front gate one morning when she arrived at the enclosure. Apparently she had been waiting there for hours, never leaving the front gate, desperate to be rescued from the streets. Nani is currently was in heat, so there was no way she was going back to the streets, and she became the enclosure's first new resident of 2024.
Nani is one of those dogs whose whole world revolves around people. She loves humans so much, and it is heartbreaking to see her have to live without a family of her own..
Nani is an easy-going dog who is calm, confident, and easy-going. She is on the smaller side of medium and is a lovely size: about knee-height, but weighing only 10 kg. She has a medium energy level and is lively and likes being active, but doesn't need hours of exercise. She walks well on the lead and enjoys going for walks.
People are Nani's favourite thing in the world. She adores humans and loves getting lots of cuddles and attention. She gets along great with both men and women, and adults and children. She loves meeting strangers and is friendly towards everyone.
Nani isn't fond of other dogs and doesn't like having to share her living space with them. When out for walks, she will try to avoid interaction with other dogs. She also keeps to herself in the enclosure.
Nani is neutral towards cats and could live in a home with cats.
Because she doesn't like sharing her living space with other dogs, and because she craves human attention, live in the enclosure if tough for Nani. She is desperate to leave and be able to live in a more calm environment, where she can get all the cuddles she wants..
Nani is currently being treated for Heartworm. Heartworm treatment is a relatively straightforward treatment, and doesn't require much work, but it takes months to complete and poor Nani is desperate to leave her kennel and have a home of her own. Therefore, we are hoping a loving family will be willing to take Nani in and complete her Heartworm treatment together. More information about the Heartworm treatment protocol will be provided.
Could you be the one to completely transform Nani's life and make her the happiest dog on the planet?
Nani is currently in Turkey and is ready to travel to the EU/the UK
The dogs arrive in their homes microchipped, up to date on their Rabies and Mixed vaccinations, spayed/neutered, dewormed and deflead and tested for Heartworm, Ehrlichia, Leishmania and Anaplasma. The dogs visit the vets for a final health check before they travel. If needed, their teeth are cleaned and X-Rays are taken of any potential areas of concern. Any concerns or potential health issues we are aware of will be communicated with you beforehand.
