❄ What makes Luna special: Her brown eye patches and small brown ears!

Luna came into our care in the winter of 2023. She had a home before, but was abandoned on the streets and struggled to survive all by herself.. We don't know how long she had been living on the streets before she was found, but her fur was in an absolutely terrible state. Her whole coat was completely knotted and matted. She also had active Anaplasma, which had caused anemia. She was lucky enough to be found by an animal lover, who asked me for help. Of course we couldn't say no to this poor girl!

We managed to track down her previous owner via her microchip, but they told us they didn't want her back, so she moved into our enclosure.

Having had a home before, the chaos of shelter life is tough for Luna and she is desperate to leave. By opening your home to Luna, you will be making her the happiest, most grateful dog!

Luna is a sweet girl who is generally very easy-going. She walks well on the lead, is fine in the car, and is confident outside of the enclosure. She enjoys going for walks and exploring new places. She doesn't require lots of high-intensity exercise, but she would be very happy to be able to go on lots of long walks to sniff all the new smells. Luna also has a very playful and mischievous side, which is bound to come out more once she is in a stable home. She loves playing with water and running off with the water buckets and the water hose!

Luna is a very friendly dog who loves people and happily greets both people she knows and strangers. She has a happy character and is always ready to see if someone will take her out for a walk. Luna is fairly neutral when it comes to other dogs. She gets along well with the dogs in her kennel and likes to play with them, and she is friendly when meeting new dogs, but she doesn't actively seek much interaction with her kennel mates and is happy to be left alone by them. She is more focused on people and would probably be happiest in a home where she is the only dog and can get all of her family's attention for herself, or sharing a home with a social, but laid-back dog.

Because life in the shelter is so stressful for her, Luna displayed some nervous behaviour such as anxious barking when she first arrived. This has gotten better with time. Because she is much more relaxed outside of the enclosure, we expect that in a stable home, with the right guidance, she would be much calmer and wouldn't be as nervous.

What Luna really needs is a stable home where she can fully decompress. With the security and stability of a loving home, we know she will blossom into the happiest dog!

By adopting Luna, you truly will be transforming her life!

Luna is currently in Turkey and is available for adoption in the EU/the UK

The dogs arrive in their homes microchipped, up to date on their Rabies and Mixed vaccinations, spayed/neutered, dewormed and deflead and tested for Heartworm, Ehrlichia, Leishmania and Anaplasma. The dogs visit the vets for a final health check before they travel. If needed, their teeth are cleaned and X-Rays are taken of any potential areas of concern. Any concerns or potential health issues we are aware of will be communicated with you beforehand.
