❄ What makes Judy so special? Judy is our first rescued Beagle!

Judy was rescued from the local government shelter in June 2025.

Judy had a home before, but was abandoned by her family. Terrified and not used to harsh shelter life, Judy really struggled. Every time we saw her, she was sitting in a corner surrounded by larger, stronger dogs, desperately trying to be as quiet as possible. As a breed dog, we had hoped that she might be able to find a home locally, but when she was still waiting after over a month in the shelter we decided we couldn't wait any longer and took her with us.

Since then, Judy has blossomed. Once timid and withdrawn, she’s now a confident, energetic girl with a joyful personality.

Judy is everything you’d expect from a Beagle: friendly, clever, and curious. She’s always the first to notice when a cat walks by and has already mastered a few escape tactics — so secure fencing is a must! She loves toys, has many canine friends, and gets along with dogs of all sizes and personalities.

She’s also wonderful with people. Judy greets visitors with enthusiasm and affection, and while she loves attention, she’s perfectly content to entertain herself when left alone for a bit.

Like most Beagles, Judy loves her food. We think this will make her highly trainable, but her adopter will need to watch her diet to ensure she stays fit and healthy.

She’s an independent and adaptable girl who would thrive either as a second dog or as the only pup in the home. She enjoys both playtime with other dogs and solo adventures with her favorite toys.

Things to Know about Judy: she has a strong prey drive, especially when it comes to cats—typical of her breed. She also loves walks and outdoor adventures. On walks, she’s more focused on sniffing and exploring than staying close to her handler, so she’ll need some leash training to improve her focus and recall.

Judy is a loyal, loving companion who’s ready to start the next chapter of her life. She’s so done with exploring the insides of her kennel and is desperately looking for someone to offer her a loving home.

Could you be the one to take Judy on her next adventure?

Judy is currently in Turkey and is ready to travel to the UK or the EU.

The dogs arrive in their homes microchipped, up to date on their Rabies and Mixed vaccinations, spayed/neutered, dewormed and deflead and tested for Heartworm, Ehrlichia, Leishmania and Anaplasma. The dogs visit the vets for a final health check before they travel. If needed, their teeth are cleaned and X-Rays are taken of any potential areas of concern. Any concerns or potential health issues we are aware of will be communicated with you beforehand.
