❄ What makes Granite special: his beautiful marble-like brindle colouring

Granite came into our care in the autumn of 2023.

Granite showed up at the local shopping centre as a puppy. He was all alone and was so happy to have found somewhere safe, with people to give him the attention and care that he needed. The owners of a restaurant in the shopping centre adopted him as their cafe dog, and looked after him, feeding him, getting him his vaccinations, and getting him neutered when he was old enough. Whilst he was still a puppy, visitors to the shopping centre still found him very cute and liked having him around, but as he started to get bigger, the complaints against him started increasing. People didn't want a big dog hanging around when they were shopping and eating, and the restaurant owners received more and more threats that people were going to do something to him. Granite is a social, happy boy, and the restaurant owners wanted him to have a good life, safe from the threat of people harming him, so they asked us for help.

Granite is a confident, friendly dog who doesn't deserve to have felt so unwanted in his life.. He didn't do anything wrong, and yet he had to give up his freedom just because people didn't like him..

The people around him may not have liked him, but Granite loves everyone! He is an extremely friendly dog who happily greets people and loves getting attention. He is good with both people he knows and strangers , and both men and women. As long as he is getting cuddles, Granite is happy!

Granite is a confident dog who walks well on the lead and is very easy-going when out for walks. He listens well and is well behaved, cheerful and focused on his humans when out and about. He loves going out to knew places and meeting new people.  He has a medium energy level, and although he enjoys being active, he doesn't need hours and hours of exercise to keep him happy.

Overall, Granite is a very social dog who is friendly towards other dogs and greets new dogs politely. He gets along well with the other dogs in his kennel and enjoys playing with them, especially with his female kennel mates. He can be nervous around larger males and may need some guidance and training to learn to feel more comfortable around large male dogs. Granite does not like cats and needs to be stopped from running after them.

Granite is a great dog with an easy-going , stable character . He would be so happy to be able to leave the enclosure, and we expect he will settle in to a home wonderfully. Granite is the type of dog who will really be a loyal companion, and will stick by his family through thick and thin.

Granite is currently in Turkey and is available for adoption in the UK and the EU.

Our dogs arrive in their homes microchipped, up to date on their Rabies and Mixed vaccinations, spayed/neutered, dewormed and deflead and tested for Heartworm, Ehrlichia, Leishmania and Anaplasma. The dogs visit the vets for a final health check before they travel. If needed, their teeth are cleaned and X-Rays are taken of any potential areas of concern. Any concerns or potential health issues we are aware of will be communicated with you beforehand.
