❄ What makes Devi special: her pointy ears
Devi came into our care in the Spring of 2024.
Devi is one of our 'walk-in rescues', who made her way to our shelter all by herself and was waiting by the entrance when we arrived. We later found out that people had spotted her in the area for the past few days, always excitedly following people around in the hope that someone would turn around, scoop her up, and take her home.. No-one offered her the home she so desperately wants, but we didn't turn her down of course! We took her into the Melez enclosure, where she is settling in well.
Devi is an energetic, confident dog who rarely sits still. She is easy-going and lets herself be handled without fuss. She spends most of her time in the enclosure playing with her kennel mates and barking at her arch enemies the cats!
Devi loves people and happily greets us every day. She is very friendly towards strangers and says hello to everyone. She likes getting cuddles, but she doesn't constantly pester you for attention. She is a social dog who gets along with all the other dogs in her kennel and spends much of her time playing with them.
Outside of the enclosure, Devi is a confident dog who walks well on the lead and loves going for walks and exploring new areas. She isn't easily startled or scared and she loves being out and about! Devi doesn't like cats and will try to chase a cat if she sees one. She may have a prey drive.
Devi would thrive in a home with confident adopters with an active lifestyle. She finds life in the busy Melez enclosure overwhelming and can't wait to be taken out for walks. By adopting Devi, you will truly be transforming her life!
Devi is currently in Turkey and is ready to travel to the UK or the EU.
The dogs arrive in their homes microchipped, up to date on their Rabies and Mixed vaccinations, spayed/neutered, dewormed and deflead and tested for Heartworm, Ehrlichia, Leishmania and Anaplasma. The dogs visit the vets for a final health check before they travel. If needed, their teeth are cleaned and X-Rays are taken of any potential areas of concern. Any concerns or potential health issues we are aware of will be communicated with you beforehand.
